SUMMARY:Honoring the Buddha Day
DESCRIPTION:Honoring the Buddha Day\, Buddha’s birthday\, more commonly known as Vesak Day\, is a major Buddhist festival that is celebrated by Buddhists all over the globe. This day is unique to the way many Western cultures celebrate birthdays in that it memorializes the birth\, enlightenment (nirvana) and passing away (Parinirvana) of the Lord Gautama Buddha\, all on one day. SUMMARY:Kundalini Yoga to Open the Heart Center
DESCRIPTION:Come to a day of Kundalini Yoga that is geared toward opening the heart center. We do these sets of poses (kriya) to create open\, free love feelings. In doing them\, it opens the heart to help to increase compassion and sensitivity to others and to help drop emotional defensiveness. Participants often feel its calming effects and thus allows them to eliminate unnecessary thoughts and feelings in order to be more in the presence and to be able to experience feelings more clearly. \nCome to the Malibu Ashram for a day of Kundalini Yoga that focuses on opening the heart center.
